In the Great Gatsby they use a tone towards happiness. Like the narrator moving to another place and leaves his family business to do something else elsewhere maybe because he wasn’t happy there. Also how people thought Gatsby was this big thing because he was rich this and that but they don’t know how he really is as a person. All this rich people have it all but aren’t happy in life. The narrator leaving his home and his family’s business shows that maybe he wasn’t happy there and left to find a better life in the U.S. It must of been a hard decision to leave because it’s a family business not just a normal job.
